Overview
Awareness is an important step, but it’s more important to step beyond awareness, to acceptance, action and inclusion for all.
The importance of there being a necessary shift from awareness is increasingly being recognised. For example:
- Autism Awareness Month (April), which was founded in 1970, is more recently being referred to as Autism Acceptance Month.
